Bas - Quarter Water Raised Me Vol. II

To write that Bas is well-traveled would be an understatement. Born in Paris to Sudanese parents, the Dreamville emcee lived in France and Qater before he called Queens home at age eight. Now, under the careful watch of mentor and label head J. Cole, Bas has used his time spent traversing the globe as a source of inspiration and musical versatility, all of which takes shape on the emcee's newly-released project Quarter Water Raised Me Vol. II. Included on the 16-track set are previously-featured song selections "Stronger," "Black & Blue" and "Mook II." In addition to Cole, Bas is joined on QWRM2 by guests Angela McCluskey, Hemdi, Jota and KQuick, while beats are provided by BBP, Calvin Harris, Ced, Christian Rich, The Beautiful People and more.

Tyga Reacts to Criticism Over "The Gold Album" Sales

Tyga recently released his latest project, "The Gold Album," on Spotify, SoundCloud, and YouTube for free due to his conflicts with YMCMB, so the rapper was shocked that he was getting criticism over album sales. The L.A.-born emcee took to Twitter to respond to Complex writing a story about how Nielsen SoundScan showed the album selling a mere 2,200 copies. Tyga said that he didn't even intend to make money off of the project and added, "Yall mfs is funny. I put my album out myself for free on spotify, soundcloud, YouTube to stream. Didn't plan on selling it Kuz of label problems. It's a dope album. Got a lot of great feedback and millions of streams."
