Def Jam Biopic In the making

Word on the  Deadline  streets is that there could be a Def Jam biopic starring Michael B. Jordan and Jordan and skinny-again-fat-again Jonah Hill as co-founders Russell Simmons and Rick Rubin, respectively.  Can you these guys really pull this off? Who do you think should play Russell and Rick?

De La Hoya Disses Mayweather

Floyd Mayweather's fight against Andre Berto wasn't enjoyed by everyone in the boxing world. Pros Manny Pacquiao, Oscar De La Hoya and a number of other UFC fighters found ways to taunt the player on Twitter during the fight. Pacquiao called the fight boring while De La Hoya called Mayweather's reign the worst. Both fighters battled Mayweather and lost. De La Hoya retired from boxing in 2008 after losing to Pacquiao. He's also talked in the past about returning to boxing to fight Mayweather, but the chances are not likely since the boxer has hinted his fight against Berto would be his last. Mayweather had an ally in Amir Khan. The boxer, who almost stepped in the ring with Mayweather, says the fight was closer than what he expected. He also congratulated both fighters for their effort.

Introducing 'Luna Rise'

Hailing from Austria, Luna Rise is a 4 piece band with a heavy ' Emotional Grunge ' esque sound. In 2011, the band is launched by Chris Divine (on guitar first) and bass player Rob Rocket. The autistic-inspired all-rounder Luke Vegas (guitar) joins and displaces Divine from the guitar, who occupies the role behind the microphone henceforth. The band is completed by the freaky keyboard-wrecker L.X. (Lunious Xaviour Andersson) and the full-moon-shy, hairy Loup-Garou on drums. The music of LUNA RISE could sound like having Bon Jovi, Billy Idol, Ozzy, Dave Gahan and Neil Armstrong all together having a orgy. Luna has released a new album titled 'Dark Days And Bright Nights' available on itunes. Their latest video for the single 'VALENTINE' Shows a upbeat tempo with dark heroic guitar riffs and a very exciting visual.  Follow These Guys Online Luna Rise - Official Website : http://www.lunarisemusic.com Listen To Luna Rise @ Spotify : https://play.

Nicki Minaj Disses Miley Cyrus

Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus shared an awkward encounter on stage during the VMA's after the rapper won her award for "Best Hip Hop Video." Nicki kicked off the show with a bang, performing her singles, "Trini Dem Girls" and "The Night Is Still Young," she also ended her brief spat with Taylor Swift by bringing her out as her surprise guest. Things seemed to be going well after she won her moonman, so much so that she decided to call out Miley Cyrus. Miley spoke on Nicki Minaj's intentions behind her Twitter rant on her "Anaconda" video being snubbed for a "Video of the Year" nomination. The singer believed the rapper was looking out for herself and targeted Taylor in the process. After thanking her fans and her pastor Nicki said, "This b**** that had a lot to say about me the other day in the press. Miley, what's good?" An astonished Miley blamed the media for twisting her comments.

Macklemore's "White Guilt" Wins Again

Melle Mel is praising Macklemore for incorporating hip-hop legends like Big Daddy Kane, Kool Moe Dee, and himself in the new  "Downtown" video , and Mel believes Kendrick, Jay Z, and J.Cole wouldn't have done the same thing.  The "Pump Me Up" emcee told XXL, "I know for a fact that J. Cole or Kendrick Lamar or Rick Ross or Jay Z or any of these cats, they would not have done it, ever. They would not have done it. It took him to do it. And all those other so-called 'real cats,' they should hang their heads because somebody should have done it by now. They could have reached back to any of us. If you're making records and you say you're Hip Hop, you're supposed to have a connection to what Hip Hop really is. And nobody made that connection until Macklemore made the connection. And I've had this conversation quite a few times since everything happened and had that little controversy of, yeah, the White boy, using the OGs, or blah
