De La Hoya Disses Mayweather

Floyd Mayweather's fight against Andre Bertowasn't enjoyed by everyone in the boxing world.

Pros Manny Pacquiao, Oscar De La Hoya and a number of other UFC fighters found ways to taunt the player on Twitter during the fight. Pacquiao called the fight boring while De La Hoya called Mayweather's reign the worst. Both fighters battled Mayweather and lost. De La Hoya retired from boxing in 2008 after losing to Pacquiao. He's also talked in the past about returning to boxing to fight Mayweather, but the chances are not likely since the boxer has hinted his fight against Berto would be his last.

Mayweather had an ally in Amir Khan. The boxer, who almost stepped in the ring with Mayweather, says the fight was closer than what he expected. He also congratulated both fighters for their effort.

According to sources who reached out to ESPNLosAngeles.com's Ramona Shelburne, Brown's job was walking the plank looking out onto treacherous waters below after a more than disappointing 1-4 start to the Lakers season, which is the worst in the Western Conference. Two potential candidates are being offered the head coaching spot on an interim basis according to the source; assistant coach Bernie Bickerstaff or Chuck Person. Brown has to be stressed, but at the end of the day, anyone who knows basketball knows the deal. If the coach isn't helping the team produce winning results, then he has to go. The Lakers are sporting an incredibly expensive payroll as well which is just over $100 million as they have (on paper at least) a monstrous lineup of quality talent in Kobe Bryant (who is battling a foot injury), ...
