The Weeknd Arrested For Punching Police

What happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas. The Weeknd was arrested Saturday in Las Vegas for allegedly punching a cop.

According to TMZ, the Canadian hitmaker was involved in a fight that started inside the Cromwell Hotel around 4:20 a.m.

Cops arrived at the scene and attempted to break up the brawl. During the scuffle, an officer pulled The Weeknd into an elevator before the 24-year-old singer allegedly punched him in the head.

The Weeknd, who was in town to perform at Drai’s Nightclub, was arrested and taken to jail for battery of a protected person. He was released on $2000 bail.

He later posted a photo of himself boarding a private jet with the caption, “escaped from Las Vegas.”
