Nipsey Hussle was busted for having a bottle of codeine in his car
without a prescription after cops pulled him over for not driving with a
license plate. Burbank police Lt. Adam Cornils revealed that Nipsey had
an outstanding warrant for driving on a suspended license, leading to a
further investigation of the rapper's car.
After looking inside, police found the codeine, along with a soft drink and a cup of ice, which are used to make sizzurp when combined. Lt. Cornils added, "People who abuse codeine to get high commonly acquire it either from friends/associates or through fraudulent prescriptions, and remove the prescription label to mask where it came from and who it was prescribed to."
Nipsey was released after posting $1,000 bail.
