Milwaukee Bucks Fire Jason Kidd as Head Coach

The Milwaukee Bucks have shaken up basketball headlines with the announcement that the team has parted ways with head coach Jason Kidd. They will have assistant Joe Prunty out to run the team on an interim basis starting Monday night, January 22, against the Phoenix Suns.

"We appreciate everything that Jason has done for the Bucks organization, but we have decided to make a coaching change," Bucks general manager Jon Horst said in a statement that he issued to the press after the firing. "We believe that a fresh approach and a change in leadership are needed to continue elevating our talented team towards the next level, bringing us closer to our goal of competing for championships."
The news comes following a skid that saw the team lose four of its past five games and slip to eighth place with a 23-22 record in the Eastern Conference. Kidd walks away from the organization in the very year that his name has come up on the ballot of 2018 nominees for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Aside from having been a 10-time All-Star during his 19-year NBA career, Kidd has enjoyed a relative degree of success as a coach in the league, although the coaching numbers wouldn't be in the same H.O.F. conversation as his player stats are.
In his three and a half years as Milwaukee's coach, the 44-year-old San Francisco native won 139 games and lost 152. His career coaching record at large stand at a nearly even 183-190.

In a  series of tweets , Weezy criticized Cash Money – the label that has released all of his albums and is home to the Young Money imprint he founded – likening his contract to a prison sentence. "To all my fans, I want you to know that my album won't and hasn't been released bekuz [label co-founder] Baby and Cash Money Records refuse to release it," he wrote. "This is not my fault. I am truly and deeply sorry to all my fans but most of all to myself and my family for putting us in this situation. "I want off this label and nothing to do with these people but unfortunately it ain't that easy," he continued. "I am a prisoner and so is my creativity. Again, I am truly sorry and I don't blame ya if ya fed up with waiting for me and this album. But thank you." A Cash Money representative did ...

Disabled Louisiana Woman Found Melted into Sofa. Parents likely to be charged.

In what a local official has deemed "one of the worst cases of neglect in recent memory," the dead body of a 36-year-old woman was found melted into a coach at her parents' house. According to records, the late Lacey Ellen Fletcher was supposed to have been under the care of her parents, Sheila and Clay Fletcher, largely because she suffered from a condition that impaired her ability to communicate or move called locked-in syndrome. Instead, the couple allegedly allowed their daughter to waste away on their coach until she stopped breathing on January 3rd. The tragic incident is said to have happened sometime within 48 hours of an emergency phone call that the victim's parent's made to 911. When the coroner and police officers arrived on the scene in East Feliciana Parish, Louisiana, they were gravely taken aback by what they saw and the stench that flooded their nostrils. “When I first walked in the house, it smelled of feces, fecal material, however, you want to...
