Megan Thee Stallion accuses Tory Lanez of running smear campaign against her

Megan Thee Stallion has lofted some heavy allegations against Tory Lanez. According to TMZ,Lanez’s camp is being accused of crafting fake email addresses and attempting to sway journalists into writing negative stories about Megan and Roc Nation.

HipHopDX was targeted as part of the scheme and can confirm the email “promotions@livnightclubmiami” was created solely to accuse Roc Nation of encouraging LIV Nightclub to sue Lanez for an alleged beatdown at the Miami club last November. When confronted, the person behind the email — who refused to give their name — stopped responding.

Megan’s attorney Alex Spiro tells DX, “We have been made aware of manipulated text messages and invented email accounts that have been disseminated to the media in a calculated attempt to peddle a false narrative about the events that occurred on July the 12th. A smear campaign can’t change the truth.”

Roc Nation emphatically denied any involvement in the allegation.

In another attempt, an email was sent from a suspicious Gmail account containing a YouTube video of a man claiming to be Lanez’s ex-bodyguard and denying Lanez was ever violent with women.

A rep for Lanez reportedly stated his team “strongly deny sending emails or otherwise creating a false narrative. The only commentary which has been made on this topic was the creative output on the album. We are investigating who could be sending these false emails and intend to take action against them.”

Megan confessed Lanez shot her following a night out in the Hollywood Hills earlier this summer. The night of the incident, Lanez was arrested for felony possession of a concealed weapon but wasn’t charged with any type of assault. The Los Angeles Police Department reportedly opened an investigation into his possible involvement not long after Megan identified him as the triggerman.
